Samsung is Hiring Apple and AMD’s Engineers

Samsung dropped out of the custom CPU-making branch whilst its Mongoose cores had been outperformed by ARM’s CPU designs. But now matters look like changing once again.

A new record from Korean media claims that Samsung is seeking to lease CPU engineers from Apple and AMD, a number of the biggest players in the CPU-making industry. One of those engineers is a prime call in the development of Apple’s custom chipsets and this engineer is reportedly stressed to be incomplete manipulate in their crew.

The stated engineer will also be selecting which personnel to carry onto their crew.

According to the record, Samsung is not satisfied with the overall performance of the Cortex X series and is seeking to broaden something faster. The company is already running with Google to broaden a custom chip and with AMD to carry RDNA 2 GPUs to Exynos.

Qualcomm is also expected to release its custom CPU layout after acquiring Nuvia, a company founded by former Apple engineers answerable for growing M1, A14, and different Apple chipsets. It seems that people who labored on Apple chipsets are worth their weight in gold.
