USF Awards PKR 154 Million Contract to Jazz

The Universal Service Fund (USF) presented a settlement worth about PKR 154 Million to Jazz for providing High-Speed Mobile Broadband offerings in Multan and Khanewal districts of Southern Punjab.

Federal Minister for Information Technology (IT) and Telecommunication, Syed Amin Ul Haque, and Foreign Minister, Shah Mahmood Qureshi witnessed the settlement signing rite in Islamabad on Wednesday.

The contracts have been signed with the aid of using Haaris Mahmood Chaudhary, CEO, USF with Aamir Ibrahim, CEO, Jazz.

Dr. Muhammad Sohail Rajput and Parliamentary Secretary, Zain Qureshi, Member Telecom Muhammad Umar Malik, Member IC Ajmal Awan, and different senior officers were also gifted on the rite.

While addressing the rite, Foreign Minister, Shah Mahmood Qureshi stated that he become pleasantly amazed to pay attention to the overall performance of the MoITT that's running day and night time for the success of the Prime Minister’s Digital Pakistan vision.


He thanked the Federal Minister, Syed Amin Ul Haque for starting up the development projects in Southern Punjab.

Sharing his perspectives on the development, CEO Jazz, Aamir Ibrahim, stated, “Jazz has invested US$ 462 million over the last  years especially to increase its 4G footprint in rural and semi-city areas.”
